*deletes all his previous raw drafts and mumble-jumbles* Frankly my dear, I don’t know what to write anymore after all day and night and another day desperately trying to retrieve any memories I could contemplate on. Really, I love you all and that, but I just couldn’t write quasi-philosophical blabberings about our relationship, life, the universe, and everything. Not in holidays, anyway. So, instead of mushy-mushy reflection of our one-year anniversary as previously intended, I reverse-enginereed the original concept (while maintaining our contractual agreement) and present our readers with this:

The Geek’s Guide to Courtship (based on a true story)

1. On starting conversation: Find one thing in common, and let her do the talking. Make occasional nods, two-syllable response, and agreeing gesture to keep it on topic regardless your understanding of the current topic.

2. On advancing to the next level: No matter how cliche your approach, they will always fall for one (or more) of these things: chocolate, flowers, romance books, or shopping vouchers (Warning: results may vary; use another method immediately if she’s allergic to one). Unless notified, never EVER bring your computer or games or your netlife into discussions.

3. On keeping in touch: Never missed a phone call for more than 3 times or leave a text message unanswered for more than 2 hours; girls in real life are not THAT laggy. Always keep your mobile phone standby near your computer or console (or better, ductape it to your ear) to have highest response time possible.
